We do not qualify our home and yard as a petting zoo...
We do realize that there are websites out there where everyone makes a really big deal about seeing your puppy before you buy them and meeting the parents of puppies, but its my job as a breeder to keep our puppies as safe as can be, Puppies are still very susceptible to many diseases. Even with mother’s milk helping with their immune systems, this is not a guarantee.
The Number one suspect for all puppies is the well-known to us all; it’s that deadly parvo virus which is considered the most deadly of all dog diseases.
Canine parvovirus is very contagious and can survive for several months (most to believe this lasting on up to 2 years) living in the surrounding environment, and this cruel disease is also resistant to many disinfectants. Infection can occur directly or indirectly through contact with infected dogs, cats and even wild animals such as raccoons (cats are carriers but do not get this virus), but also through indirect contact with contaminated surfaces and objects. Your feet can contaminate our property if you have touched an infected virus of this sort.
Our number one priority is our puppy’s health and safety above and beyond letting just anyone into our home, as you can see this can and will cost us dearly! Once infected they all will be infected, resulting in thousands of dollars in vet bills and probably loosing most if not all of our beautiful babies.
So unfortunately we don't allow anyone in our home per this disease can be transferred from just picking kids up from school to running to the store or even stopping at a gas station to get gas, we just can't risk our puppies and dogs from this deadly disease to be transferred to them its my responsibility as a breeder to protect them and keep them safe and healthy.
We try really hard to send updated pictures of pups to everyone with a deposit on a pup, every 1-2 weeks of your puppy being born and we are willing to answer all texts when I'm not too busy, taking care of puppies is a full time job to keep them happy and healthy.
We give our puppies their first set of shots at 6 weeks old and they get their 2nd set of shots and at nine weeks of age and every three weeks after and although we take all precautions it does not guarantee this disease can't take our puppies ... so as you can see we try our hardest to avoid this contact with our puppies, and this precaution should also continue after leaving our home to yours, please do not take them to public places like dog parks, Pet stores etc... To continue the protocol to protect these little ones, until they are at least a year old.
Our puppies do not leave our home until they are at least eight weeks of age, no if's or but's about it.
We Thank You so much for your understanding
